From Vampr to Netflix: Rae Khalil + Jared Rubens (feat. Chance the Rapper, Anderson .Paak and Sway)
We originally featured Rae Khalil and Jared Rubens in May 2018 after they first met on Vampr.
Rae has since gone on to appear on the Netflix show Rhythm + Flow and their work has received co-signs from Queen Latifah, Chance The Rapper, Anderson Paak, TI, Sway and Snoopdogg, to name but a few.
Describing the journey to her debut album, Girlfriend (out now), Rae says, “We made the album out of [industry] frustration. When you don’t have all the resources… you gotta do the work”.
